Weekend break at Canyon Lake

Last week we took a short trip to the dam that created Canyon Lake where we are staying.

Parked at the top of the dam, we could walk across the top of the dam.

 On Saturday evening, we went to our host church for a BBQ

It was very well attended.

This is Corky, the owner of Quest Ranch where we are camped.

On the way home, we drove back down to the lake and were treated by these local residents

and one more.  In all, we saw about 15 deer on this short trip.  They are quite prolific in the area.
