Arrival in Texas, 2017

We headed south from Landisville on Friday, 12/30/16 driving through snowstorms, rain, tornado's and you name it so we decided we deserved a break when we made it to Texas.  We headed as far south on the Gulf coast as we could looking for sun and fun.

We crossed the bay bridge amidst beautiful skies and over clear waters
and were greated by a warm welcome on South Padre Island, Texas
Love those palm trees.
Reportedly, the world's largest permanent sand castle display at the visitor's center.
Off to the surf and some new friends we accosted
and begged them to take our picture to prove to you that we were in Texas. The next day, that polar vortex or whatever it was struck south Texas too, and we then headed inland to avoid the 19 degree chill factor of the wind.
And so we arrived at First UMC in Falfurrias, Texas which will be our home base for the next 3 weeks.
6 RV's comprise our group and we all got settled in to warm up on Saturday, 1/7/17.  It will warm up by the time we are ready to work on Monday.
