Crossing Alabama, Mississippi
and Louisana....
We finally arrived in TEXAS.
Even their welcome center is BIG!
Well, they may drive friendly, but it sure is FAST. Speed limits appear to be only a mild suggestion.
We drove through Houston for what seemed like days, and waived at Beth Moore. 
Then on to San Antonio and spent several days in the area.

Then the beautiful "River Walk"
and on the the Buckhorn Saloon and Texas Ranger Museum
As we left San Antonio, we stopped at the Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch for an African Safari, Texas style.

and finally, we arrived in Bastrop, Tx and learned that our NOMADS campsite is in the heart of the most severely burned area. We had time to get settled and be ready to go to work on this fire disaster recovery project.
